The School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano promotes and enhances the figure of the Visiting Professor and the Visiting Researcher for the internationalisation and the cultural and scientific development of the University. To this end, it encourages professors, researchers and scholars with high scientific qualifications, belonging to foreign universities, research or higher education institutions, to stay at its scientific and teaching facilities to carry out training and seminar activities as part of a study and PhD course and research activities, also based on specific international agreements stipulated by the University.

The Visiting Professor / Researcher collaborates with the teaching and scientific structures by implementing a programme consistent with the University's strategic objectives. In addition, they may serve on committees for the assessment of university examinations, the discussion of dissertations, and the assessment of doctoral theses.
