Healing Our Towns Summer School
Dear Students,
We are excited to inform you about an upcoming opportunity that may interest you: the HOT – Healing Our Towns Summer School, scheduled from September 8 to 13, 2025, in Crema, Italy.
This workshop is organised by some researchers of the Politecnico di Milano and is part of the IDEA League network.
It addresses the pressing challenges posed by climate crisis, particularly the extreme heat. Participants will learn about innovative analytical techniques and explore adaptation strategies for small and medium-sized towns, focusing on redesigning public spaces to combat heat, water scarcity, and other emerging urban issues.
The program includes seminars with experts, engagement with local administrations, and on-site experiences to assess the impacts of climate change and develop innovative solutions for the future of urban environments.
A preliminary online meeting is scheduled for July, followed by an inaugural seminar in Milan on the first day of the Summer School. Subsequent activities will take place in Crema, where accommodation will be provided.
